President Donald Trump doesn’t want you to forget — and he’s sure not going to forget(!) — that Rep. Ilhan Omar described the devastating act of terrorism against the United States on 9/11 as: “some people did something.”
“We will never forget!” he wrote in all caps in a tweet with a video showing Omar saying at a Council on American-Islamic Relations event: “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized the some people did something” followed by actual footage of the planes flying into the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001 and smoke billowing up off the Pentagon after the plane plowed into the side of it.

By 10 p.m. on Friday, more than 104,000 had liked the tweet, 30,000 had commented, and the usual suspects were beginning to wail, with Rep. Alexandia Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tweeting that the president had put Omar’s life in danger by tweeting out the video.
Members of Congress have a duty to respond to the President’s explicit attack today.@IlhanMN’s life is in danger. For our colleagues to be silent is to be complicit in the outright, dangerous targeting of a member of Congress.
We must speak out.

She was perhaps borrowing a line of attack from Chris Hayes of MSNBC who had tweeted something similar two hours before:
The President is actively and willfully endangering the life of a member of Congress.

Presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) chimed in, again insisting that the president was inciting violence against Rep. Omar.
The President is inciting violence against a sitting Congresswoman—and an entire group of Americans based on their religion. It's disgusting. It's shameful. And any elected leader who refuses to condemn it shares responsibility for it.

Trump, it seemed, was inspired by the New York Post’s cover on Friday, which had Omar’s “some people did something” quote at top over a photo of the Twin Towers burning, with the words at the bottom: “Here’s your something, 2,977 people dead by terrorism.”
Wow. Today's @nypost cover has a strong message for @IlhanMN. pic.twitter.com/L2MApyCC90

Many Americans were shocked to learn this week of the Minnesota congresswoman’s comments, with the memory of that awful day still so fresh in the mind and the feeling of loss still so keen.

But Leftists didn’t want to remember, or were more concerned about censoring speech, with some saying they’d reported the tweet, in order to get Twitter to remove it.
We should all report this tweet to @Twitter and @TwitterSafety for violating guidelines by inciting violence. The tweet and/or Trump should be removed!
