While the film “Unplanned” did much better than expected at the box office over the weekend, bringing in over $6 million, the movie didn’t fare nearly as well on the Jack Dorsey-run social media platform Twitter.
The movie is based on the true story of Abby Johnson, the youngest clinic director in the history of Planned Parenthood before a life-changing experience turned her into an anti-abortion activist — she assisted an ultrasound-guided abortion of a 13-week-old baby — so the political implications are clear to see.
And the actress who played Johnson, Ashley Bratcher, was outraged over what was happening on Twitter.
First, the Twitter account set up for the movie was temporarily suspended — after a substantial outcry, the account was reinstated.
This occurring on opening weekend.
BREAKING: The official Unplanned Movie account has been suspended by @Twitter on opening weekend.
This is unacceptable, @jack.

Twitter said a different account violated its rules, prompting the system to suspend related accounts — a glitch that never seems to strike left-of-center groups. After the account was reinstated, about 50,000 followers suddenly disappeared.
Twitter officials called it an “error,” according to Fox News.
“I think it’s outrageous! I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life,” Bratcher said Monday on “Fox & Friends.”
“I think it’s incredibly suspicious given that we were suspended, then reinstated, then we lost followers, then we have people saying they can’t follow — then my own account @_AshleyBratcher was unfollowed from the movie. I couldn’t even follow my own movie,” she added.
“I don’t know of any examples of this happening to more liberal accounts,” Bratcher continued. “I don’t know of this ever having happened to Planned Parenthood.”
Through it all, a Twitter spokeswoman told Fox News in a statement the company enforces rules “impartially for all users, regardless of their background or political affiliation.”
Bratcher, who is from Georgia, also spoke out against actress/activist Alyssa Milano, who penned a letter threatening to boycott filming in her state over the “heartbeat bill.”
The bill, which passed in the Georgia state senate, would limit abortions to six weeks after conception unless the pregnancy was conceived through rape or incest.
Milano’s letter, signed by 50 prominent Hollywood celebrities, was sent to Gov. Brian Kemp and state House Speaker David Ralston and threatens the state with the loss of “billions of dollars,” Fox News reported.
When asked to respond to Milano calling the bill “evil,” Bratcher said, “I don’t know how you can believe that protecting an innocent life is rooted in evil.”
Once reinstated, the movie’s Twitter account responded.
“Still waiting for an explanation as to why
@Twitter inexplicably suspended our account,” a tweet stated. “I think we all know why. Perhaps it’s because we are moving the needle, making a difference and changing hearts and minds with [the movie].”

Their followers also shot up to well over 200,000 because of all the attention over the controversy.

Which is what happens when people like Donald Trump Jr. call attention to the shenanigans.
President Donald Trump’s eldest son responded to a tweet from Richard Grenell, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, showing a video of his account unfollowing the movie account each time he tries to follow it.
Yet another example of the Social Media Masters only letting people see what they want them to see and believe.
The censorship and the bias must stop!!! https://t.co/QESRltiMJZ
