AOC earns a moniker directly from Amazon and is flailing so badly she’s making ‘Morning Joe’ cringe

Socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s excitement over the tech giant Amazon’s decision to not expand its operations into New York City hasn’t earned her any fans. If anything, it’s only attracted further criticism to the economically illiterate political novice.

Only this time, the criticism isn’t just being lodged by AOC’s vocal opponents on the right, who strongly believe that her radical plans endanger America. It’s also being leveled by the virulently left-wing hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” a show known for attacking conservatives daily.

It’s even being leveled by Amazon itself. More on that later.

Listen to part one of the MSNBC hosts’ scathing criticism below:

As noted by co-host Joe Scarborough on Friday, a day after Amazon announced it’d be scrapping its NYC project, the plan was killed by “people who don’t even understand basic economics.”

People like AOC, who he noted “ignored over 80% of Latinos in the New York area and 70% of black Americans in the New York area who needed these jobs, who wanted these jobs.”

The deal would’ve granted $3 billion in tax cuts to Amazon in exchange for the corporation blessing NYC with 25,000 new jobs and billions in additional tax revenue, among other goodies.

That $3 billion in tax cuts is what rubbed left-wing political hacks like AOC the wrong way so much so that following Amazon’s announcement, she celebrated.

“I think it’s incredible. I mean, it shows that everyday Americans still have the power to organize and fight for their communities and they can have more say in this country than the richest man in the world,” she said Thursday afternoon to NBC News:

Scarborough and his guests were stunned by her ignorance, to say the least.

“New York City wasn’t handing cash to Amazon,” he said. “It was an incentive program based on job creation producing tax revenue. There isn’t a $3 billion pile of money that can now be spent on subways or education.”

Had the deal went through, however, NYC would have collected an estimated $27.5 billion in additional taxes over 25 years that could’ve been spent on subways or education

“We are in a dangerous place and if people in the party doesn’t start to speak up against people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who is young and dynamic but does not know what she’s talking about, they’re going to hand the presidency back to Donald Trump,” guest Donnie Deutsch added.

Longtime political strategist Susan Del Percio was far more caustic:

“What’s shocking to me is once again she shows how little she understands not just economics but even unemployment. She’s the one who said the reason unemployment is so low is because a lot of people have two jobs. She needs to learn basic things about what it is to be a representative.”

But that’d require her to buy a brain, and it’s clear not she can afford one.

“And when you look at what’s happened in New York City and New York State, we’re losing people like crazy … now we’re telling businesses, ‘Don’t come here,'” Percio continued.

True. Thanks to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s exorbitant taxes and burdensome regulations, there’s an ongoing exodus of residents from the state.

“Just because she has a progressive agenda, which some people like, does not mean she ha the city’s best interests. What she showed me yesterday is that she only cares about herself.”

Ouch.

Amazon was also critical of AOC.

“It wasn’t any one incident,” the Jodi Seth, the head of policy communications for Amazon, said in an interview with NBC News following the corporation’s announcement Thursday.

“It was that the environment over the course of the past three months had not got any better. There were some local and state elected officials who refused to meet with Amazon and criticized us day in and day out about the plan.”

“If you talk to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, it’s ‘Never Amazon,'” he added.

Not to mention never sane and never smart

“Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski concluded the discussion Thursday morning by complaining about young legislators like AOC who “don’t have the experience” and suggesting the 29-year-old socialist congresswoman “follow some of the more successful, more mature” members of Congress.

“I watch with a lot of hope but I’m cringing, and I would love to give her some advice,” she said.

The American people would also like to give AOC some advice.
