Warren digs deeper, spews robotic ‘word salad’ when grilled on Texas Bar, won’t answer if more docs exist

After the media revealed Wednesday that Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren had falsely identified herself as “American Indian” on a registration form for the State Bar of Texas back in 1986, the embattled fake Indian held a presser to attempt to lessen some of the damage.

But instead of ameliorating the damage done to her already tarnished image, the senator made things worse by acting like a robot and tossing out more word salads than a dictionary.

Note for instance how, starting around the 30 second mark in the video below, Warren refused to directly answer a reporter’s question about whether additional documents like these exist.

Listen:

“Look, this is who I grew up believing with my brothers — this is our family story,” she said in defense of her lifelong habit of pretending to be an American Indian. “And it’s all consistent from that point in time. But as I said, it’s important to note I’m not a tribal citizen, and I should have been more mindful of the distinction with tribal citizenship and tribal sovereignty. And that is why I apologize.”

She said the exact same thing multiple times throughout the presser.

“[I am sorry] about [declaring] tribal citizenship and tribal sovereignty and for harm caused. I am also sorry for not being more mindful of this decades ago. Tribes and only tribes determine tribal citizenship,” she said during the start of the conference.

After a reporter asked her why she listed herself as an American Indian on the registration form for the State Bar of Texas, she essentially said the exact same thing again.

“Tribes and only tribes determine citizenship,” she said. When I was growing up in Oklahoma, I learned about my family the same way most people do. My brothers and I learned from our mom and our dad and our brothers and our sisters, and those were our family stories.”

“But that said, there really is an important distinction of tribal citizenship. I am not a member of a tribe, and I have apologized for not being more sensitive to that distinction.”

It’s not clear whether she realized that repeating the same thing over and over again did little to make her look any less guilty of being a fraud who essentially exploited a minority group for political gain, at the very least, if not also financial gain.

When Warren’s tenure as a high-paid professor of law at Harvard University began in 1995, the university reportedly listed her as an American Indian. Why? Because as she herself admitted seven years ago, when she applied for the gig she listed herself as exactly that, an American Indian.

Because of additional concerns vis-à-vis how Warren may have benefited from this false label, and because of her refusal Wednesday to answer the media’s questions candidly (and without word salads), the Republican National Committee has requested that the State Bar of Texas discipline her.

“Attorney Warren should be disciplined for lying and failing to correct a misrepresentation she made on her Texas Bar registration card,” RNC chair Ronna McDaniel wrote in a letter submitted Wednesday.

“Attorney Warren is now apologizing for misrepresenting herself as an ‘American Indian’ or Native American throughout her career. It has now been thirty-three years since she made this representation to the Texas Bar and has never made an attempt to correct her registration card.”

“Therefore it is clear that Attorney Warren lacked the “Good Moral Character” required for admission to the Texas Bar and should be disciplined for her three decades of untruthfulness.”

What’s also unclear is whether Warren realized that every time she cited her “family stories,” she sounded as if she was attempting to excuse her behavior on the grounds that “it’s my mom’s fault.”

The whole presser just sounded ridiculous, as noted by many on social media, including outspoken conservative Hollywood actor James Woods.

Look:

Warren has faced near-endless scrutiny ever since she took a DNA test last year that revealed that she’s basically a white woman. One who’s earned the much-deserved nickname “#Liewatha.”
