The best part of the judge striking down Obamacare was what Trump just said to ‘Mitch and Nancy’

After a federal judge declared former President Barack Hussein Obama’s failed Affordable Care Act to be unconstitutional Friday, President Donald Trump put the onus on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to draft a replacement.

“As I predicted all along, Obamacare has been struck down as an UNCONSTITUTIONAL disaster! Now Congress must pass a STRONG law that provides GREAT healthcare and protects pre-existing conditions. Mitch and Nancy, get it done!” he tweeted.

While neither legislator has yet responded to the president, Pelosi made it clear on Twitter that she staunchly opposes U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor ruling.

“Tonight’s absurd ruling exposes the monstrous endgame of the GOP’s all-out assault on people w/ pre-existing conditions & the ACA,” she tweeted Friday evening. “When @HouseDemocrats take the gavel, the House will swiftly intervene in the appeals process to #ProtectOurCare!”

From the sounds of it, the upcoming House speaker intends to focus on protecting the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, versus drafting a suitable replacement.

So does Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“The GOP spent all last year pretending to support people with pre-existing conditions while quietly trying to remove that support in the courts,” he tweeted Friday. “Next year, we will force votes to expose their lies. They will no longer be able to get away with lying to the American people.”

He and Pelosi aren’t alone. A host of left-wing legislators, commentators and so-called “journalists” have come out swinging, accusing O’Connor of being a partisan hack and “hater”:

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

Even before Friday’s ruling, Obamacare was already a failed law that’d led to exorbitant premiums, lost coverage and corruption. Its only saving grace was the protection it afforded those with pre-existing conditions. For everybody else, Obamacare has been hell.

Case in point:

In a statement prior to the midterm elections, current House Majority Whip Steve Scalise vowed to fix the Obamacare debacle if the GOP maintained control of Congress.

“We’ve got to hold the House, but if we get more Senate seats, we gotta go back to health care,” he said. “Obamacare’s only getting worse. There is no private marketplace for families out there. Our bill that we almost passed … let’s come back and get that bill passed.”

Listen:

Earlier this year the GOP-led House passed an Obamacare replacement bill. Thanks to intransigence by the late Sen. John McCain, however, the bill never made it to the president’s desk.

And because Democrats have regained control of the House and Pelosi has zero interest in fixing the Obamacare crisis, it appears the bill will never reach Trump’s desk.
