Corsi sues Mueller for reported $350 million in damages over alleged leaks, constitutional violations

Conservative author Jerome Corsi filed a federal lawsuit late Sunday against special counsel Robert Mueller, accusing him of constitutional violations and leaking grand jury secrets.

Corsi, who claims he’s being threatened with indictment by Mueller’s team, included the CIA, FBI, and the National Security Agency in the suit, who, along with Mueller’s team, are alleged to have “engaged in ongoing illegal, unconstitutional surveillance,” according to Politico.

“Defendant Mueller and his prosecutorial staff have demanded that Plaintiff Corsi falsely testify that he acted as a liaison between Roger Stone and WikiLeaks leader Julian Assange concerning the public release of emails downloaded from the DNC’s servers,” the complaint says, according to Politico.

According to the report, Corsi is asking for $100 million in real damages with an additional $250 million in punitive damages for injury to his reputation.

As for the leak, the lawsuit blames Mueller and his team for disclosing Corsi’s role in the ongoing investigation.

Corsi, an associate of Roger Stone, lodged a formal complaint with the Department of Justice last week accusing Mueller and his team of misconduct in the Russia-Trump collusion investigation.

“The special counsel and his prosecutorial staff threatened to indict Dr. Corsi, who is now 72 years old, and effectively put him in jail for the rest of his life, unless Dr. Corsi would provide the false testimony that they demanded, even after being informed that the testimony desired would be false,” the 78-page document said, according to NBC. “This is criminal.”

Considered a conspiracy theorist, Corsi appeared on Fox New’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” last week to discuss that action, charging that after he forgot the date of an email he had forwarded and informed Mueller’s office, he was allowed to amend his testimony, only to later be threatened with prosecution for lying.

Corsi was asked by host Tucker Carlson why the special prosecutor’s office would be trying to intimidate him.

“The key thing is, they wanted me to be the key link between Roger Stone and Julian Assange, and then they’d have all their collusion together,” he replied.

As Fox News reported, amid the belief that Russia was the source of hacked material released by WikiLeaks during the 2016 election that hurt Hillary Clinton’s campaign, Mueller office is trying to establish advance knowledge of the dump by Stone or other associates of President Trump.
