Who’s ‘sniping’ who? Laura Ingraham battles MSNBC hosts over mean-spirited Bush 41 coverage

It’s all Trump, all the time at Trump-bashing MSNBC, even when covering the death of President George H.W. Bush.

And while they are blind to their hypocrisy, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham was quick to point it out when MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace used the live coverage of the motorcade bringing the former president’s casket to the Capitol to “snipe” at President Donald Trump.

“I think what everyone’s getting at is that under Donald Trump, the office of the presidency has been debased in a way that is unimaginable for people who served, every past president… I think what’s lost in this moment is our reverence and our dependence and the way we need and rely upon the elegance and the traditions of the presidency,” Wallace said.

Struck by Wallace’s gall to speak of “reverence,” Ingraham responded on Twitter — she later deleted the tweet:

Wallace, who calls herself a “recovering Republican,” served as President George W. Bush’s communications chief. Her bias against Trump was on full display in October when Wallace said she told then-candidate Jeb Bush that “he should have punched [Trump] in the face” after one of the 2016 election presidential primary debates.

Yet, in her self righteousness, Wallace feels compelled to lecture us on “reverence?”

The MSNBC anchor responded to Ingraham’s tweet by playing on her words to note: “At the very same moment @IngrahamAngle was watching @MSNBC and sniping at me.”

Is it all that surprising that Ingraham might be watching the opposition? At least, as much as you might call MSNBC opposition, given how Fox News generally trounces the network in ratings.

Thick as thieves, the anti-Trump brigade, Wallace saw MSNBC colleague and fresh bride Mika Brzezinski come to her defense.

Doing what the left does so well, Mrs. Joe Scarborough shapes the debate by taking the opportunity to determine what is reality — from their warped liberal perspective.

“If describing reality is sniping then ok .. but I’m not sure where you think this is going except REALLY badly,” Brzezinski tweeted.” @NicolleDWallace is right on.. you are as usual serving as the president’s panderer. I’m not sure that ends well but hey good luck!”

Ingraham got the last word in the back and forth — she didn’t respond directly to her antagonists — to state the obvious.

..at least, outside the Trump Derangement Syndrome crowd.

“Using memorial services or funerals to launch political attacks–exactly the sort of crassness they accuse @realDonaldTrump of exhibiting–is always wrong,” Ingraham tweeted.
