‘Trump ‘has magic coming out his ears’: Ben Stein gushes about ‘magic man’s’ astonishing wins

With the stakes so high, it’s only natural that President Donald Trump was following Tuesday’s election results. It was also no surprise that he did so on the Fox Business Network — a decision that would pay a pleasant dividend.

Economist Ben Stein was part of FBN’s live election coverage and while pointing out how rare it is for an incumbent president to gain Senate seats in a midterm election, he told host Neil Cavuto that Trump is “a magic man.”

“There’s only been five times in the last 105 years that an incumbent president has won seats in the Senate in the off-year election,” Stein noted. “Mr. Trump has magic about him. This guy has magic coming out his ears. He is an astonishing vote-getter, an astonishing campaigner. Republicans are unbelievably lucky to have him and I’m just awed at how well they’ve done.”

“It’s all the Trump magic. Trump is a magic man,” he concluded.

And the “magic man” was paying attention, as Trump would quote Stein in a pair of tweets.

That the tweets came at 1:27 a.m. goes to show just how indefatigable the 72-year-old president is.

The anti-Trump media wasted no time claiming Trump “touts himself as the ‘magic man.'”

And while the Democratic Party took control of the House on Tuesday — which is sure to launch a two year inquisition against Trump, with the lower chamber being wielded as a club — the GOP did expand its majority in the Senate.

Trump let it be known that he’s willing to work with the opposition party, calling  House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi late Tuesday to offer his congratulations, as seen in a tweet from Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, Drew Hammill.

“President Trump called Leader Pelosi at 11:45 p.m. this evening to extend his congratulations on winning a Democratic House Majority,” Hammill tweeted. “He acknowledged the Leader’s call for bipartisanship in her victory remarks.

Pelosi, who is expected to reclaim the speaker’s gavel she lost eight long years ago, declared, “Tomorrow will be a new day in America.”

We can hardly contain our excitement.
