‘Bald-faced lie’: Ingraham blasts Democrats’ history-twisting ‘tricks’ designed to divide and conquer

When Americans visit the polling booths next week to vote in the upcoming midterm elections, they ought to compare the bag of Halloween “tricks” being offered to them by Democrats to the veritable bag of “treats” that’s already been provided to them by President Donald Trump.

“Democrats are putting all their candy in a new basket of candidates this Halloween, and the result for Americans can be downright nauseating,” she said Wednesday on Fox News‘ “The Ingraham File.”

As examples, she cited Democrat Florida gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum’s promise to hike taxes and push for Medicare for All. One of his campaign staffers recently admitted in an undercover investigation video that these policies “will never happen.”

Ingraham also cited the socialist rhetoric of Democrat Georgia gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams, who seems to believe in wealth redistribution yet refuses to pay her own taxes.

Even more disturbing are Gillum’s usage of false accusations of racism to deflect from his history of corruption as Tallahassee’s former mayor. Just this week the Florida Democrat falsely accused his election opponent, Rep. Ron DeSantis, of writing a book in which he justified slavery.

“That is just a bald-faced lie,” Ingraham said Wednesday, noting that in his book DeSantis merely “recounts how Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin lamented the ‘notorious compromises’ that were made to tolerate slavery so the constitution could actually pass, they could form a government.”

“The recitation of historical fact is not racist, nor is it justifying slavery. Either Andrew Gillum is really not all that smart, or he’s purposefully lying about something this awful and horrible.”

His history of lies and mistruths suggest it’s the latter. Ingraham hopes the American people see through these “tricks” and, hopefully, compare them to the president’s “treats.”

Listen to the rest of her commentary below:

“But now compare all those Democratic tricks — the tax hikes, the empty racism charges, the vision of an open border, abolishing ICE, all that stuff — to Trump’s treats,” she said. “Under this president, wages and salaries rose 3.1% in the third quarter, the biggest increase in a decade.”

The annual GDP has likewise climbed to a high of 3.5 percent, while black and Hispanic unemployment has dropped to records lows. Democrats never mention how they intend to increase the GDP or lower unemployment further because they prefer “tricks” to “tracks,” Ingraham noted.

“You’ll note the Democrats don’t really offer any cogent argument or response — alternative — to the Trump record because they expect to win via a sustained campaign of anti-Trump anger and race-baiting,” she said. “But like all the Halloween candy, none of that’s going to satisfy or sustain the country. It’ll just give you a really bad aftertaste in your mouth.”

An aftertaste of negativity, lies and outright hatred, to be exact. What remains unclear is whether these exposés on the Democrats’ “tricks” will be enough to turn the tide, particularly in Florida, where Gillum continues to lead DeSantis in polling averages, albeit by a small amount.

What’s there is that there are many people in Florida doing everything in their power to get the word out about his history of corruption and lies.
