Colbert asks Pelosi about Hillary’s cancelled victory fireworks barge after she swears toxic mobs will be tamed when Dems win House

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi appeared in the friendly confines of “The Late Show,” and was asked by host Stephen Colbert if she was trying to send an “inclusive  message… that America is neither red nor blue” with the purple jacket she had on.

Never mind that he was asking one of the most partisan hacks on Capitol Hill, who used the set-up to then talk about “unity” and “lowering the temperature of political discourse,” as Colbert framed it.

Pelosi was confident Democrats will retake the majority in the House, saying when it happens the toxic political climate in the country that her party played a BIG role in creating will show signs of improvement.

“Well, I think when we win, you will see evidence of that,” she said.

(Does this mean they’ll call off the angry mob making political discourse impossible in the country?)

Flipping reality on its head, Pelosi would go on to speak about honoring the “vows of our founders,” which is a new position given the left rich history of denigrating these great men.

“Because when we do win, we will have, as we open the new Congress — we will honor the vows of our founders: ‘E pluribus unum’, ‘From many one,’” she said.

“Well you couldn’t imagine how many we would be or how different we would be from each other, but they did know that we had to strive for oneness,” Pelosi added. “It’s okay to disagree, a marketplace of ideas, that’s exciting. But it is also important to find solutions that unify and not divide. And that’s what makes a big difference between Democrats and what’s in the White House now.”

To hear this hypocrite propagate the opposite of what today’s intolerant Democratic Party stands for is nauseating — all the while, Colbert looks on like a toad on a wire.

Speaking of Colbert, he did get in one good line when Pelosi assured him that her party will regain control of the House.

“Let me say this; up until today, I would have said ‘If the election were held today, we would win,” she told Colbert when he asked how she felt about the election. “But now I’m saying, ‘We will win! We will win!'”

“Please don’t say that, please don’t say that!” Colbert begged. “Do you want to say that on Hillary’s fireworks barge that she cancelled? Please, please, please don’t say that.”

The comment was in reference to one of the earliest signs on election night 2016 that things were not looking good for Hillary, that being the cancellation of fireworks that was scheduled for 9 p.m. that night from a barge on the Hudson River.
