Ocasio-Cortez tosses up more word salad: We’ll use extreme blueprint for defeating Nazis to defeat Climate Change

Socialist congressional nominee Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes the United States and its allies should defeat the alleged threat of man-made climate change by utilizing the same extreme methods that were once employed to defeat Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

“When we talk about existential threats, the last time we had a really major existential threat in this country was around World War II, so we’ve been here before, and we have a blueprint of doing this before,” she said during a campaign event this week.

The rise of Hitler’s regime was an existential threat because he’d sought to conquer the entire world and subjugate it to his bigoted whims. Had he won World War II, the horrors of the Holocaust would have likely been just the tip of the iceberg vis-à-vis the atrocities he would’ve committed.

“We had a direct existential threat with another nation and at this time it was Nazi Germany and Axis, who explicitly made the United States as an enemy,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.

“And what we did was that we chose to mobilize our entire continent and industrialize our entire continent, and we put hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people, to work in defending our shores and defending this country.”

Listen:

The Democrat nominee for New York’s 14th congressional district basically wants to upend the entire world order in order to combat something that some scientists claim doesn’t even exist.

The methods used to spur Hitler’s defeat were described as “extreme” earlier because of the numerous sacrifices that had been demanded of everyday Americans, including food rationing.

“During the Second World War, you couldn’t just walk into a shop and buy as much sugar or butter or meat as you wanted, nor could you fill up your car with gasoline whenever you liked,” notes the Ames Historical Society.

“All these things were rationed, which meant you were only allowed to buy a small amount (even if you could afford more). The government introduced rationing because certain things were in short supply during the war, and rationing was the only way to make sure everyone got their fair share.”

You may learn more about the rationing in the short  film below:

During the war the government also seized businesses such as railroads and coal mines, incarcerated Japanese American citizens in internment camps and spied on an estimated half a million Americans.

Ocasio-Cortez would like to revive some of these measures to stop a phenomenon that some argue is nothing but a scam that’s been perpetrated for decades in a bid by leftists to seize power.

While there’s a lot of evidence disproving climate change, one of the best evidence is the stream of endless doomsday predictions that have been shown to be 100 percent false. And one of those predictions was issued just 12 years ago by Ocasio-Cortez’s peer in the Democrat Party, first Vice President Al Gore.

“Unless we take drastic measures the world would reach a point of no return within 10 years,” he said in his 2006 film, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Yet stunningly enough, it’s now 2018 and everything is just fine. Hmm …

The reaction on social media to her fear-mongering rhetoric and radical call for action was a mix of criticism and mockery, and rightly so:

Former White House deputy assistant Sebastian Gorka’s response was even more brutal.

“This woman, Ocasio-Cortez, should be ashamed of herself and anybody who was her teacher in school should be embarrassed,” he said Saturday on Fox News.

“Miss Cortez, 60 million people were killed in World War II, almost half a million Americans died. Six million Jews died in the Holocaust. This is a war that involved 10 million GIs, and this is comparable to climate change? This is the lunacy of the Democrat party today and that is why when it comes to the election, what is it, 16 days from now, got to be down ticket Republican all the way.”

Listen:

Those still willing to vote for Ocasio-Cortez may want to ask themselves whether they’re ready and willing to ration their food on behalf of the nominee’s mission to stop climate change.
