Actress threatens to cancel her show if Melania Trump likes it. So, the First Lady calls her bluff.

In an interview published Tuesday, a Hollywood actress known for her racist views threatened to cancel her HBO comedy-drama series if she discovered that first lady Melania Trump were a fan of it.

Less than 24 hours later, the first lady effectively called actress Issa Rae’s bluff by releasing a statement through her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, letting the world know that she does indeed like the low-rated show “Insecure.”

Look:

Yet as of Thursday morning, “Insecure” still hadn’t been cancelled. Apparently, Rae had been full of it. How very liberal of her …

What remains unclear is why exactly Rae feels such a clear-cut revulsion toward Melania. Is it perhaps because of her race? It seems possible based on both the actress’s controversial past statements and what she had said to Glamour magazine in her Tuesday interview.

In the interview Rae described the ecstasy she had experienced when she met former first lady and fellow black woman Michelle Obama in 2017 and discovered that she happened to be a fan of the show. She likewise described how she’d react if she discovered Melania felt similarly.

“It was like talking to my auntie. It bums me out that I will never have that feeling again of the First Family f–king with us so hard and getting us,” she said. “If Melania [Trump] said that to me, I would be like, ‘Well, I guess it’s canceled. We’re not making this show. It’s not ours anymore.'”

But why wouldn’t the show be “ours” anymore if Trump liked it? Could it possibly be because of her race? Unlike Obama, Melania is white, and judging by Rae’s past statements, she’s a fan of neither whites nor really any other non-blacks.

Case in point: Flash back to the night of the 2017 Emmy Awards, when Rae proudly told the media that she was only rooting for black actors: “I’m rooting for everybody black! I am!”

Listen:

Newsflash to Rae: That’s a racist statement, as noted by a bevy of social media users after she made this outrageous statement last September.

Look:

The reactions to her latest round of nonsense were similar:

What, pray tell, was Rae’s response to Trump admitting she likes the show? To mock her over the phony “two Melanias” conspiracy theory.

Look:

With an attitude like this, it’s unclear why anybody even watches her show.

Rae also issued a response to The Root, a virulently anti-white blog that for some reason commands respect among media and Hollywood elites.

“[D]on’t get it twisted: Creating something for us and by us—and maintaining ownership of it—is paramount in Rae’s mind, as she told Glamour,” the racist blog reported.

“All I know is who I am. At the end of the day, all I know is my intentions, and no matter what you take out of context, no matter what pictures you post, I know what I am aligned with. I know what my truth is,” she herself said.

The truth is that you are a racist. So are your friends at The Root.
