Though most adults know the difference between an affair and sexual assault, Fox News liberal commentator Geraldo Rivera apparently does not. And according to Juanita Broaddrick, the woman whom former President Bill Clinton is accused of raping in 1978, this ignorance is inexcusable.
“You are a sorry scumbag @GeraldoRivera,” she wrote in a caustic tweet Friday afternoon after Rivera posted a tweet that conflated Clinton’s lengthy history of sexual abuse with mere affairs. “How dare you refer to my Horrific Rape by Bill Clinton as an affair.”
“Hearing your name makes me ‘Throw up in my mouth’. REMEMBER?? THAT’S WHAT YOU SAID WHEN MY NAME WAS BROUGHT UP IN 2016 on Fox News,” she added.
It’s unclear what Fox News clip she was referencing.
..
These scathing tweets were issued in response to the following tweet Rivera posted Friday morning:
Flashbacks to @BillClinton-era #BimboEruptions-as Hillary famously called serial allegations of her husband affairs w Paula Jones and others-@SteveDoocy @kilmeade & Rachel Campos to explain threat posed to @realDonaldTrump by #DavidPecker immunity deal etc Going on @foxandfriends

Rivera had been trying to suggest that President Donald Trump’s current legal woes vis-à-vis the women he allegedly paid to remain silent about their alleged affairs could wind up being as problematic for him as allegations of sexual abuse were to Clinton.
Except instead of highlighting the former president’s documented sexual abuse, Rivera disrespectfully tweeted about the former president’s “affairs w Paula Jones and others.”
Clinton did not have an affair with Jones; he reportedly sexually harassed her. As for those “others,” they included Broaddrick.
About 30 minutes after her initial tweet, Broaddrick posted another one at Geraldo accusing him of drugging and groping Hollywood actress Bette Midler:
Remember tweeting this photo of yourself?? Did you ever apologize to Bette Midler for drugging and groping her. You are disgusting @GeraldoRivera pic.twitter.com/uyWmaB9HOV
— Juanita Broaddrick (@atensnut) August 24, 2018
This accusation was based on startling remarks Midler made during a 1991 interview with then-“20/20” host Barbara Walters. In the interview she revealed that Rivera had once drugged and groped her.
“Geraldo and his producer came to do an interview with me in the ’70s, the early ’70s. And this was when he was very sort of hot,” she had said. “And he and his producer left the crew in the other room. They pushed me into my bathroom. They broke two poppers and pushed them under my nose and proceeded to grope me.”

As of Sunday morning, Rivera had yet to respond to any of Broaddrick’s tweets.
