Proud dad Don Jr post throwback pics of son hunting. Watch the absolute freakout over the shotgun.

President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. inadvertently triggered some liberals this week by posting an otherwise benign picture to Instagram that depicted his own son Donnie, 9, wielding a double-barrel shotgun while out hunting for ducks.

Reportedly snapped earlier this year, the “throwback” photo included an intelligent caption urging parents to “[g]et them outdoors early and often.”

Look, but try to avoid the dumb comments for now:

Considering how many children nationwide are currently suffering from obesity as per their habit of staying indoors all the time, playing their video games, Trump Jr.’s advice sounded wise. Or at least it sounded wise to the logical segment of society.

As for the hundreds, if not thousands, of deranged liberals who crept out of the woodwork, both Trump Jr.’s post and his advice looked and sounded “idiotic.”

Why? For a number of reasons – one being that some liberals were nutty vegans who resent (if not hate) all meat eaters, including of course the Trumps.

“Please tell me this is for food and not just a sport; and that it’s being done as painlessly as possible,” one leftist moaned in the comments section.

Trump Jr. and his brother Eric faced similar scrutiny after they took part in a big-game hunting trip in Africa six years ago. As both noted in a statement at the time, “We have the utmost respect for nature and have always hunted in accordance with local laws and regulations.” They even donated their meat to hungry locals afterward.

“Guns are a dangerous toy for a child,” another leftist bellyacher complained in the comments section of Trump Jr.’s post.

“A gun in a child’s hands… Donny. No,” yet another wrote.

Fathers have been teaching their sons to hunt for time immemorial, for Pete’s sake. It’s practically a rite of passage for young boys.

But not every liberal reacted like this. One commenter who admitted he’s “not a fan of the Trumps” came to Trump Jr.’s defense, surprisingly enough.

“I am also not a gun enthusiast or do I hunt. But the pictures here are not of a child ‘playing’ with a bow and arrow, he is learning,” the liberal wrote, referencing a video posted by Trump Jr. last month of his son Tristan shooting bow and arrow. “His other picture is of his son on a hunting trip with him.”

“A lot of kids grow up in families where hunting is an important (SIC) part of who they are,” the liberal’s comment continued. “They respect the rules, they learn to respect the power, they learn to do this at an early age like 7 or 8 years old. It’s a part of them. I respect that. Everyone has an opinion and everyone has a right to that, and like I said, this isn’t politics to me. This is a Dad with his kids, teaching him the things he was taught about hunting.”

Very, very well said.
