Piers Morgan scores exclusive interview on Air Force One. President Trump has a lot to share.

Piers Morgan scored an exclusive interview with President Donald Trump while he was in the U.K. and shared the details in a LONG article published in the Daily Mail.

The interview took place on Air Force One, which impressed Morgan, to include that the seats swivel in the on-board Situation Room. And while it took the liberal around 1,300 words, or 68 paragraphs, to actually quote Trump, readers were informed early on about what good chums Trump and Morgan are.

“I’ve known Trump for 12 years now and genuinely like him whilst disagreeing with many of the things he says and does,” Morgan wrote. “He’s a uniquely impulsive and charismatic man, which as we have seen can manifest itself in both a very good and very bad way.”

As for Trump, here are a few highlights of the 30 minute interview, beginning with the fact that he was aware of the protests against him while in London, but insisted that he also had supporters in the U.K.

“Some of them are protesting in my favor, you know that?’ he said. ‘There are many, many protests in my favor.”

The president talked about his scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, acknowledging that Putin is “probably” a dictator.

“I think we could probably get along very well,” Trump suggested. “Somebody said are you friends or enemies? I said, ‘Well it’s too early to say but right now I say we’re competitors,’ but for the United States, and frankly, the UK and other places, to get along with Russia and China and all of these other places…. Piers that’s a good thing, that’s not a bad thing. That’s a really good thing.”

Trump also commented on his social media habits, telling Morgan that he likes the “immediacy” of the platform, its power and the ability to “protect yourself from the lies.”

“I’ll see something where somebody says something wrong, or says something right, and rather than sitting around doing nothing, I’ll be able to put out something,” said Trump. “I like the immediacy, I like the power of it because it gets the point across. I can combat that fake news because I have so many followers. You add it all up and it’s like over 150 million people – that’s a tremendous amount of people between Facebook and Instagram and Twitter – three different platforms, it’s tremendous.”

“You get the word out, you can really protect yourself from the lies.”

Morgan revealed that Trump has personalized boxes of M&Ms aboard Air Force One that feature his signature.

President Trump spoke about his meeting with Queen Elizabeth, with Morgan asking him if, “even for a tough guy like you,” it was an emotional experience.

Despite all the negative press on Trump meeting the Queen, he was complimentary of Her Royal Highness, telling Morgan the meeting held special value to him because his mother was a big fan of her’s.

“The Queen is terrific,” Trump said. “She is so sharp, so wise, so beautiful. Up close, you see she’s so beautiful. She’s a very special person. And the way she’s conducted herself for so many years. And she’s got a lot of years left.”

“It was a very easy talk,” he said of their Windsor Castle tea. “We had a great, a great feeling.”

Speaking of having years left, to the angst of Democrats (and some Republicans), the president said he fully intends to run for reelection in 2020.

“Well you never know what happens with health and other things. I feel good,” Trump told Morgan about running. “I fully intend to. It seems like everybody wants me to.”

All of which prompted Morgan to take to Twitter to boast this being the “first time” he has committed to running:
