Pro-choice Tomi Lahren signs up for anti-abortion movie, but rails against repeal of Roe v. Wade

Political commentator Tomi Lahren needs to get her story straight, pronto.

During her first few years as a contributor at conservative commentator Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze, Lahren frequently blasted pro-abortion advocates as “baby killers.”

During her third and final year at the publisher in 2017, she suddenly performed an about-face and admitted that she happens to be “pro-choice.”

“I’m pro-choice and here’s why: I’m a constitutional, ya know. I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government, but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies,” she said during an appearance that year on “The View.”

Then why did you previously refer to abortion advocates as “baby killers?”

Listen:

She was accused at the time of being an opportunist hack.

Last Friday word emerged that she’s signed up to play a cameo role in the upcoming pro-life film “Roe v. Wade.” According to The Daily Beast, the film will chronicle the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision but with a pro-life tilt.

Hmm ….

But something else also happened last week: Lahren delivered a stunning rant on Fox News urging conservatives to not push for the repeal of Roe v. Wade.

“Pressing for a Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade would be a big mistake,” she said. “Yes, the new high court vacancy is a huge opportunity for conservative values and principles, I get it. And I understand the passion behind the pro-life movement.”

“But to use conservatives’ new-found power and pull to challenge a decision that — according to a new Quinnipiac poll — most Americans support, would be a mistake.”

While she was correct about the polling data, it’s odd to see her defend Roe v. Wade during the same week that word broke she’s signed up to play a part in a pro-life film. It reeks of opportunism.

Check out social media’s reaction to her rhetoric below:

“I’m saying this as someone who would personally choose life, but also feels it’s not the government’s place to dictate. This isn’t a black and white issue and I would never judge anyone in that position,” Lahren added.

So she’s pro-abortion, but she herself wouldn’t choose abortion if she got pregnant? But she’ll gladly participate in a pro-life film for some money? That sounds awfully opportunistic …
