Kimberly Guilfoyle delivers scathing beat-down after media link her to pizzagate conspiracy theorist

Imagine being a celebrity who receives countless requests for photos and autographs every day. Now imagine that one day you unknowingly allow a conspiracy theorist to snap a photo with you. Does that mean you now endorse the guy’s loopy views?

While sane people would resoundingly say “NO,” some “journalists” in America’s harebrained media appear to believe the right answer is “yes.”

What else would explain the media’s rush to make an issue out of Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle unknowingly allowing herself to be photographed with a conspiracy theorist on July 4th?

Below is the picture that started this non-controversy controversy:

It was posted by David Seaman, a former Jezebel intern who genuinely believes that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton runs a vast child sex trafficking. This theory, known as #PizzaGate, first surfaced in late 2016 when conspiracy theorists like Seaman began claiming that children had been sexually abused at a pizzeria in Washington, D.C.

It’s a convoluted conspiracy theory based on virtually nothing and has about as much legitimacy as CNN White House correspondent April Ryan’s equally inane theory that President Donald Trump is running his own child sex trafficking ring. *facepalm*

It’s likewise a theory that Guilfoyle has never once touted because she’s not crazy. Nor is she even friends with Seaman. And unlike the New York Observer’s patently false claim — “Kimberly Guilfoyle Spends July 4th With Trump Family & Pizzagate Conspiracy Theorist” — she didn’t spend her July 4th holiday with him neither.

Like Guilfoyle explained in a statement to The Hill, “On my recent trip to Washington, D.C., for the Fourth of July hundreds of people asked for a photograph or selfie with me. I always oblige when possible, this doesn’t mean I know them personally or share their views.”

But this fact didn’t stop The New York Observer, The Inquister, The U.K. Daily Mail and “journalist” Zach Everson of The Daily Beast from making an issue out of the picture:

The timing is actually kind of perfect, because during an interview Friday with Breitbart — only days after this non-controversy controversy erupted — Guilfoyle effectively destroyed the media over the false narratives they routinely promote.

“Who are these jokers?” she asked incredulously. “You see them on television, and they have a blog, and everyone thinks they’re a journalist, and they’re a joke. They’re provocateurs. They have no substance and no meat, let alone any intellect. It’s unbelievable in this day and age anyone calls themselves a journalist because they can post something on the Internet.”

“Nevertheless, when you’re someone who can back it up and have substance, then you have nothing to fear from the imposters. I just take issue with people who are complete liars and smear merchants and say things that are not true, and they know that they’re not true, and some of these people need to get a beatdown, and I’m happy to give it to them.”

That itself would definitely classify as a “beatdown!”
