George Conway, husband of loyal White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, has been at odds with President Trump since shortly after his election. He is now saying publicly that the campaign finance violations involving the Trump Foundation charity, recently alleged in a lawsuit, should be investigated by the feds.
“These are very serious allegations, and they should be referred to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.” Conway Tweeted Sunday.

Barbara D. Underwood, New York Attorney General filed a lawsuit on Thursday that stated monies from the Trump Foundation were used to pay off legal debts, promote Trump hotels, and fund the president’s campaign. According to The Hill.

Kellyanne spoke up for the president as recently as Sunday, yet her husband is suggesting a federal investigation.
Conway stood by his wife and supported the president during the campaign. He worked for the Trump DOJ early on in the term, leaving a short time later due to “family obligations.”
Since that time, he has been vocal on Twitter with a public stream of criticism against the president.
