Vanessa Trump took the extraordinary step of heading off the anti-Trump media at the pass over reports that estranged husband, Donald Trump Jr., is romancing Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Mrs. Trump, who filed for divorce in March, took to Twitter to say that they’ve been separated for nine months and called on the press to respect their privacy.
She also (perhaps inadvertently) confirmed rumors that a romance between Don Jr. and Guilfoyle are true.
“The lengths people will go to attack a woman simply because she’s dating Don,” she tweeted. “We’ve been separated for over 9 months and respect each other’s decisions & privacy. We’ll focus on raising our great kids.Would be nice if the press did the same rather than obsess over our pvt lives!”

The tweet came in response to a tweet from Trump Jr commenting on calls for Fox News to fire Guilfoyle over the new relationship.
It was first reported in May that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle were an item, with the two seen together at a party for newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell.

The new couple have reportedly received the seal of approval from President Donald Trump and the first family, according to the Daily Mail.
“They’re really into each other, it’s obvious from the way they are together, and they haven’t tried to hide it,” a source close to Trump Jr told the British tabloid. “But they haven’t felt compelled to make any kind of pronouncement that they’re romantically involved.”

The Daily Mail shared exclusive photos of the “lovebirds” at the new sushi restaurant at the Trump International in DC, on the Delta shuttle, and embracing at the opening of the Trump Ferry Point golf clubhouse on Monday.
Guilfoyle, 49, has been divorced twice and was previously married to Gavin Newsom, now the Lt. Gov. of California.
She was romantically linked to ex-White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci briefly last year, who was also in the midst of a divorce.
The couple are seen below posing with actors John Corbett and Bo Derek in Rome.
