Georgia official refuses Bible, uses ‘Autobiography of Malcolm X’ for swearing-in ceremony instead

Never has it been more apparent that elections have consequences than during a swearing-in ceremony this week in Athens, Georgia.

In post-Obama America, where the radical left has been so effectively mainstreamed that they know dominate the Democrat Party, Mariah Parker, a 26-year-old doctoral student at the University of Georgia, was sworn in a county commissioner in Athens-Clarke County using a copy of “The Autobiography of Malcolm X” in lieu of a Bible.

“They asked if they would like the Bible and I said no. My mother asked if there was a copy of the Constitution around. No,” Parker said, according to WSB-TV. “I wanted Malcolm’s book. I think they saw it coming.”

And make no mistake, this social justice warrior who also goes by her hip-hop stage name, Lingua Franca, is taking office with an agenda.

“My platform centers around economic and racial justice,” Parker told the Red & Black. “The policies of this town have been structured, deliberately, to ensure that a certain class of people will continue to thrive and a certain class of people will continue to not.”

We are reminded that Parker won by 13 votes in a tweet that informs social media: “This is what America is about to look like. About damn time.”

In another tweet, we are told of the “unprecedented radical change” to expect from the new county commissioner, appropriately identified as a “comrade” in the post.
