Starbucks founder and executive chairman Howard Schultz declined to rule out a 2020 presidential run in an interview with CNN on Tuesday.

Schultz, a prominent Democrat, dodged when asked if he had made a final decision on running in 2020.

“Is 2020 out of the question for you?” asked CNN host Poppy Harlow.

“Are we gonna go there again?” Schultz answered, avoiding giving an answer.

Harlow tried again to coax an answer out of Schultz: “In any way, not just as president, is there any way that serving in the government is still in your mind in 2020?”

“What I would say is that I’m as concerned an American citizen as I ever have been,” Schultz responded. “I want to be as involved as I possibly can as a citizens to help the country. I don’t know what that’s going to mean in the future.”

Earlier in the interview, the Starbucks founder contrasted his vision of America with that of President Donald Trump. “The country, America should not be building walls of any kind, we should be building bridges,” he said.

Schultz’s name was briefly floated as a presidential candidate in 2015, when some of his backers urged him to challenge then-Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton. (Schultz opted to stay out of that race.)

Schultz’s interview came as his company closed down 8,000 stores nationwide for anti-bias training on Tuesday.
