Trump Derangement Syndrome has gotten so perverse in America that President Donald Trump’s critics will seize on just about anything to attack the president and his family.

Dana Schwartz, a correspondent at Entertainment Weekly, responded to the photo with a condescending comment about children being “ripped from their parents,” as she sneered at Ivanka.
“Imagine posting this on the day the top news story is 1500 children ripped from their parents who have no idea when they’ll see them again,” the journalist tweeted.

Schwartz is referencing a CNN article over the weekend on the federal government being unable to account for 1,500 “unaccompanied immigrant children.” It was noted in the piece that illegal immigrant parents being prosecuted are separated from their children.
Conflating the two issues, the left has been in a collective uproar ever since, with images of babies being ripped from their mothers breasts dancing through their heads — keep in mind that members of the vicious MS-13 gang reportedly entered the US as unaccompanied immigrant children.
There were even photos from 2014 floated as if happening under Trump to fuel the outrage, drawing in a number of suckers, including former members of the Obama administration, which was in office at the time.

The hashtag #WhereAreTheChildren was created, as seen in a senseless attack on Ivanka from Kaivan Shroff, a self-identified Hillary Clinton campaign staffer.
“Ivanka takes just as much pleasure in all of this cruelty as her father,” the zealot posted. “She just tweeted this, mocking the 1,500 immigrant children her father lost. She is a disgrace.”

But Schwartz and her liberal cohorts don’t grasp the meaning of “unaccompanied,” meaning they arrived in the United States alone.
Or that an overwhelming percentage of illegal immigrants, once released into the country, never appear at assigned court appointments to continue processing their cases.
As CNN reported, the majority of children are sent to live with sponsors who have close ties to the children — typically a parent or close relative.
Andrea González-Ramírez, a New York City-based journalist for Refinery29, made an attempt to educate Schartz.
“I get what you’re saying here, but the missing kids didn’t get separated from their parents. They were unaccompanied minors at the border,” she tweeted.

Dara Lind, a reporter for Vox — no conservative bastion — also weighed in to note that the children were unaccompanied, adding that some may be missing by their own doing to avoid the possibility of deportation.
FYI, another point about this: we do not know how many of these children weren’t located because they and their relatives in the US (who might even be their parents!) made the decision to go off the grid to reduce deportation risk.

Although Lind’s Vox colleague, David Roberts, more than made up for his dose of common sense.
Roberts tweeted: “Sure would be tough to have that child ripped from your arms, housed in a government facility, lost track of, and inadvertently turned over to human traffickers, wouldn’t it?”

The tweet from Schwartz created an echo chamber of Trump hate, but social media users also jumped in to add more perspective on events.
