The great thing about a hot dog is that, healthy or not, it’s a hot dog.
But our liberal friends at the Washington Post think they have a better alternative: carrot dogs.
You read that right, this “plant-based” alternative is being pitched on Memorial Day weekend as “perfect for a cookout.”
“The most unexpected (and welcome) guest at your next cookout: Carrot dogs,” the paper’s Twitter account read.

“Serve these carrot dogs nestled in buns with the toppings such as vegetarian chili, cheddar, chopped onion, sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles/relish, ketchup and spicy mustard,” the article informs readers.
But “nestled” in a hot dog bun doesn’t make it a hot dog, and social media users were only too happy to inform the newspaper of this reality.
…while mocking them unmercifully.
Enjoy some pre-Memorial Day fun as The Post is skewered and grilled for daring to step all over an American tradition.
Hell, even race-baiting liberal ESPN personality Jemele Hill got in on the ridicule.
Hill wrote: “Memo to the white woman in Oakland who called the police on black people BBQ’ing: This is who you call the police on. You show up with some carrot dogs to my cookout and I’m reporting you to Homeland Security.”
