White House press secretary Sarah Sanders won the internet Thursday with a hard-hitting picture — featuring actor Sylvester Stallone, aka “Rocky” — and a little sage advice.
Sanders tweeted a photo of herself wearing an over-sized boxing glove in the White House, with Stallone resting his head against the glove.
The tweet read: “‘It ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward,’ -Rocky Balboa Thank you @TheSlyStallone!!!”

As BPR reported on Thursday, Stallone was at the White House as President Trump pardoned legendary boxer Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight boxing champion who was marred by a racially tainted 1913 criminal conviction for transporting a white woman across state lines.

On hand as Trump signed the pardon, Stallone was credited with bringing the case to the president’s attention.
While not a Republican, Stallone supported Sen. John McCain for president in 2008 and was very complimentary of Trump in 2016.
“I love Donald Trump,” the actor said, according to Variety. ““He’s a great Dickensian character. You know what I mean? There are certain people like Arnold, Babe Ruth, that are bigger than life.”
Stallone earned the praise of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who pulls double duty as Sanders’ father.
“Rocky @TheSlyStallone was always one of my faves, but he moved to the top of the list by how gracious and nice he was to @PressSec and she plans to use that glove next week in the press briefings!” he tweeted.

As much of an institution as “Rocky” is in America, it didn’t stop liberals suffering from collective outrage over anything related to Trump from smearing Stallone — from the comfort and safe distance of their couches.
Huh. Didn't know that @TheSlyStallone was an idiot https://t.co/4IVnstMcvg

It was nice of them to let a brain-damaged actor meet Stallone. https://t.co/gBDSl7fqmt

It also sparked some heated and hilarious debates:
Yeah, that’s it. How about they don’t play the whole thing because all she does is lie.

How about that, a woman telling a man to hit another woman. Please don’t tell me you’re a Feminist, cuz you suck at it, with all due respect.
