The Cheesecake Factory apologized to a black man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat who was verbally attacked at a Miami store.
Eugenior Joseph, 22, a supporter of President Donald Trump, was at a Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Miami on Sunday celebrating Mother’s Day with his girlfriend and her family when he was mocked and intimidated by employees, CBS Miami reported.
Witnesses told The Daily Wire the incident started when a female employee came over to Joseph and started pointing to his MAGA hat, calling over other employees. They began verbally assaulting Joseph, with one worker allegedly threatening “to knock his head in,” according to the sources.
Joseph confirmed the account in an exclusive interview with the online news source.
“[A male employee] got behind me and another coworker came by and they were staring at each other and he fist bumped him and then he started looking at me, balling his fists, smacking his fists, trying to scare me,” he said.
The restaurant chain tweeted an apology on Tuesday in response to a tweet from Ann Coulter, and noted that the employees involved in the incident are suspended, pending an investigation.
The tweet stated: “No guest should ever feel unwelcomed in one of our restaurants and we are taking this matter very seriously. Upon learning of this incident, we immediately apologized to the guests in person. The individuals involved in the incident have been suspended pending the results of our investigation,” the tweet read.

We may have a federal judge in New York City to thank for such incidents, given his ruling that the law does not protect against political discrimination.
