A family from Arizona unknowingly filmed an astonishing video of their dog saving his best friend when he accidentally fell into a pool and couldn’t get out.
Family pets Smokey and Remus snuck into the backyard and were playing on the patio when Smokey slipped and fell into the water.
The dog can be seen scrambling to get out while Remus anxiously paces back and forth alongside the pool.
Smokey made several failed attempts to escape before Remus leaped into action. The heroic canine, who is notably a better swimmer than his friend, jumped into the water and literally pushed his best buddy from behind to safety,  Fox News reported.
Owners Laurie and Jay Becerra captured the heroic event on their security camera and posted it to their Facebook page where it’s going viral.
“So Remus and Smokey got a little rambunctious. Smokey can swim just not well, Jay recorded this off our security camera when he saw Smokey all wet!” Laurie captioned the video.
“Even though he’s a crazy pup he’s got a heart of gold,” she praised the hero.
We certainly agree!
