Michelle Obama scolds women for letting Trump get elected: How could you ‘let that happen?’

For someone who doesn’t have the “passion for politics,” former first lady Michelle Obama sure likes to talk about the subject.

And she seems to be using the very same tactics as Hillary Clinton: Blame everyone and vote for your own kind.

Appearing as the keynote speaker Saturday at the United State of Women Summit in Los Angeles, Obama drew on the 2016 president election, asking how did women “let that happen.”

“In light of this last election, I’m concerned about us as women and how we think,” she said. “What is going on in our heads where we let that happen, you know?”

“That” being a reference to electing President Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton.

Ignoring the many failings of Clinton as a candidate, Obama sounded much like her husband, Barack Obama, assigning blame to women for being too hesitant to elect a woman as president.

“When the most qualified person running was a woman, and look what we did instead, I mean that says something about where we are,” Obama said. “That’s what we have to explore, because if we as women are still suspicious of one another, if we still have this crazy, crazy bar for each other that we don’t have for men… if we’re not comfortable with the notion that a woman could be our president compared to… what (the jab at Trump being unmistakable, as the audience applauded), then we have to have those conversations with ourselves as women.”

In a comment that could also have been taken as a subtle jab at Trump — unless, of course, she was talking about her husband — Obama encouraged women to aspire for greater things, saying she wished “girls could fail as bad as men do and still be okay.”

“Watching men fail up is frustrating,” she said, adding later it’s “frustrating watching men blow it, and win.”

And if Michelle Obama downplays the suggestion that she run for office in 2020 one more time, well, she may as well roll out her campaign logo and get on with it.

For the record, former President Obama’s right hand woman, Valerie Jarrett, was on hand.

Expressing disappointment that the election of Barack Obama did nothing to slow the rise of the oceans and begin to heal the planet, as he implied, Obama dismissed calls for her to run as she recalled her husband’s campaign slogan.

“We still didn’t get ‘yes we can’ right,” she said. “It’s not ‘yes you can,’ it’s ‘yes we can.’ And until we get that right, it doesn’t matter who runs.”

Overlooking the fact her spouse set back race relations a half century, if not more, Mrs. Obama is apparently STILL not too proud of her country, noting that “we’re still living in racism” despite a black man being elected president.

“Change starts close to home. So looking for the next person to run … I don’t mean to cut that off, but that’s been our distraction,” she said. “We’re going to wait for the next person to save us. We thought it was going to be Barack Obama, but he didn’t end racism.”

“Like, I voted for the black man,” Obama said. “And we’re still living in racism.”
