Sex ed teacher on administrative leave after parents discover ‘inappropriate’ videos used in class

A sex education teacher was placed on administrative leave after showing “inaproppriate” videos in class, according to the New York Post Thursday.

Frank Lawson, a high school gym teacher at Western Albermarle High School in Crozet, VA., was put on administrative leave after allowing for provocative videos during sex ed. class, which caused outrage from parents, the New York Post reported. The videos were by Laci Green, a Los Angeles-based YouTube personality who makes provocative videos on sex education.

Lawson, who is also the head of the physical education department and worked at the school since 1998, allowed the Sexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA) to play the videos for a class of 28 girls.

“In advance of the scheduled visit to the school, on April 2nd at 8:34 a.m., we emailed the curriculum to the head [physical education] teacher and requested that the content be reviewed and approved,” SARA said in the statement. SARA received an email around an hour later, approving the videos, the agency added. While it is not known what video was shown, it was allegedly about experiencing sexual pleasure.

“Keeping that dialogue open lets them know they can *talk to you* about the VERY NORMAL feelings and experiences they’re having,” Green wrote in another Twitter post on April 18.

Green has 1,492,622 subscribers on YouTube. Some of her videos include “You CAN’T Pop Your Cherry! (Hymen 101)” and “Freaky Labia.”
