A Planned Parenthood affiliate suggested that America needs a Disney princess role model who has had an abortion, Tuesday in a now-deleted tweet.
“We need a Disney princess who’s had an abortion,” said the tweet from Planned Parenthood Keystone located in eastern Pennsylvania. “We need a Disney princess who’s pro-choice. We need a Disney princess who’s an undocumented immigrant. We need a Disney princess who’s actually a union worker. We need a Disney princess who’s trans.”
The account with around 900 followers eventually deleted the tweet, but many Twitters users took screenshots and continued to share the image.

The tweet follows a meme format that satirizes what attributes future Disney princesses should have. Most are jokes about how fictional Disney characters could be more life-like.

Planned Parenthood Keystone received $1.7 million dollars from the federal government in 2015, according to a recent report from the Government Accountability Office.
Planned Parenthood For America, the national organization, insists the federal funding is not used to provide abortions, but is for education and other medical procedures. PPFA performed 328,348 abortions in 2015, according to the GAO.
