Hacker who turned convicted traitor Bradley Manning in to the FBI is found dead

In what’s sure to get the conspiracy juices flowing, the computer hacker who turned in Bradley Manning — who calls himself Chelsea these days — to the FBI was found dead in his apartment.

Adrian Lamo was found dead in his Kansas apartment on Wednesday, according to The Wichita Eagle.

Lamo, 37, also known for hacking into The New York Times and Microsoft, pleading guilty to one felony count of computer crimes after being arrested for the invasion.

It’s not clear how Lamo died, but Wichita police officer Charley Davidson said there was “nothing suspicious about his death.”

…which will only add to the conspiracy theories.

A cause of death hasn’t been determined and a toxicology test is expected to take a few weeks to complete.

“Adrian was always homeless or on the verge of it,” said friend Lorraine Murphy. “He bounced around a great deal, for no particular reason.”

Murphy, who called herself a friend and colleague, made the comment on Facebook, according to The Eagle.

Lamo’s father, Mario, also posted a message on Facebook.

“With great sadness and a broken heart I have to let know all of Adrian’s friends and acquaintances [sic] that he is dead,” Lamo wrote. “A bright mind and compassionate soul is gone, he was my beloved son.”

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who received from Manning the largest cache of stolen classified documents in U.S. history, commented on Lamo’s death on Twitter and wasn’t kind in his remarks, tagging the deceased man as a “serial FBI snitch.”

“Coroner says serial FBI snitch Adrian Lamo is dead. Lamo, a fake journalist, petty conman & betrayer of basic human decency, promised alleged source journalistic protection, friendship and support, then sold him to the FBI,” he tweeted, along with what appears to be an online profile of Lamo.

Anonymous weighed in to call out those who are speaking ill of a deceased man.

“While we certainly didn’t agree with Adrian Lamo at all on any level, it’s sad to see how many people (who probably never even interacted with him) say such horrible things. What he did was wrong, he’s dead. Give his family some peace without all of the vile hate,” the international hacktivist group’s Twitter account read.

As for conspiracy theories, with Manning fresh out of prison and running for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, social media users connected this all to the Clintons… for some odd reason.
