A New Jersey Transit conductor on a Manhattan-bound train created quite the stir Monday morning when he reportedly announced that immigration agents were on board to apprehend “illegals.”
But it turned out to be much ado about nothing and the employee was suspended, according to the New York Post.

An early morning tweet from Rory Katherine alerted social media of the incident.
“The conductor on my @NJTRANSIT train just made an announcement that there are ICE agents and homeland security on the train – so I guess we need to be protected from hardworking people on their way to work in the morning?” the tweet said.

Katherine followed up with another tweet: “They just made a second announcement that they are ‘looking for illegals.’ How is this allowed????”
Turns out, there was no Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation, according to New Jersey Transit officials.
Hi Joe. To clarify, there was no ICE operation. -ER

The agency announced the employee’s suspension, pending a “full investigation.”
“NJ TRANSIT has taken swift action by immediately suspending, without pay, the crew member who made the alleged train announcement pending the outcome of full investigation. NJT will not tolerate such reprehensible conduct which stands in direct contrast with our agency’s culture,” a tweet from the agency read.

Of course, Democrats never pass on an opportunity to pander to people of color, as seen when Sen. Bob Hernandez responded to yet another tweet from Katharine that compared New York City to 1930’s Berlin.
“If true, this would be outrageous racial profiling that is unAmerican and makes us less safe. Thank you Katherine for bringing this to our attention, and I assure you my office is looking into it, and will follow up as well,” his official Twitter account posted.

Who can argue ICE agents don’t have the toughest job in America after this fiasco?
Not only do they have to outwit illegal immigrants who are embraced by Democrats, agents also find themselves up against some of the very citizens they try to protect, who compare them to the Gestapo.
Not to mention U.S. senators eager to accuse them of racial profiling.
