Nancy Pelosi is in middle of grandstanding at Arizona townhall when question yelled from audience grinds it to a halt

Nancy Pelosi was conducting what seemed like the world’s most boring college lecture at a Phoenix, Arizona town hall on Tuesday when a remarkably on-target heckler brought her pompous, liberal rant to a screeching halt, at least for a few seconds.

And yes, it was glorious.

“These issues about the tax cut and then the cuts to initiatives that help people, that’s part of the budget,” Pelosi rambled to what had to be a half-asleep audience. “The national budget should be a statement of our national values, of what’s important to us as a nation, which makes us strong and builds to the future, should be reflected in our budget.”

The House minority leader then drew on the words of Martin Luther King Jr. to prove that people shouldn’t live in “superfluous inordinate wealth while others live in abject poverty.” Except for her, of course, because some are, well, more equal than others.

“But what we’ve seen here is the complete opposite,” she continued. “So, this isn’t about Democrats and Republicans. This is about the United States of America, about our children’s future. And again it can’t possibly be a statement of values for us to talk about, as Martin Luther King said, ‘God didn’t really intend for one group of people to live in superfluous inordinate wealth while others live in abject poverty.”

Yes, the irony was just too rich, and one audience member was getting ready to point it out.

“These are kitchen table issues for America’s families,” said Pelosi. “Most people are not in deadening poverty, but some are. But most people have to struggle to make ends meet…”

“How much are you worth, Nancy?” yelled an audience member.

“No, we’re not talking about that,” responded Pelosi.

Of course we aren’t.

“So in any event … I’m a mother of five, I can speak louder than anybody,” the House minority leader said, speaking over the woman.

Pelosi, one of the richest members of Congress and firmly in the top .00000001 percent of Americans with a net worth of well over $100 million, recently denigrated ordinary Americans by calling the bonuses they have and will receive from the GOP tax cut “crumbs.”

So, about that “inordinate superfluous wealth” thing…

Interestingly, a Twitter account run by Ex-Dem Latina claimed to be the heckler:
