‘The President saved my life’: Touching reunion with Trump you won’t likely hear from the mainstream media

A recent study showed the major broadcast coverage of President Donald Trump was negative 90 percent of the time over a three month period, but it’s as if there isn’t anything positive to report.

Last year, the president donated $10,000 to a man who couldn’t afford treatment for cancer and one year later, after undergoing chemotherapy to treat his bladder cancer, which he could not have otherwise afforded, the man is cancer free.

Donald Bouvet visited the White House on Friday to meet Trump and thank him for saving his life.

“The president saved my life,” Bouvet said at an emotional Oval Office meeting, according to D.C. affiliate WRC-TV. “And I told him that.”

Trump learned of Bouvet’s plight because the man’s son, Shane, worked with his 2016 presidential campaign. Shane was invited to the Inaugural Ball for singlehandedly working a campaign in support of Trump in his hometown. Shane met Trump the night before the inauguration and shared his father’s story.

Bouvet received a $10,000 personal check from Trump in the mail not long after that meeting that can be seen in part in the video below.

“His father, Donald, was suffering and really on a pretty final path towards losing his life,” the president explained Friday.

Donald Bouvet, 52, explained why meeting Trump was “very emotional.”

“One day I wanted to come here, or meet you somewhere, shake your hand, look you in the eye, and say, ‘Thank you for saving my life,'” the elder Bouvet told the president. “And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Impressed that the son gave his father the entire $10,000, Trump rewarded Shane with another personal check Friday for $5,000, along with a signed thank you.
