Former federal prosecutor: FBI, DOJ conspired with DNC, Clinton campaign to exonerate Hillary and frame Trump

Former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Joe diGenova, blasted FBI and Department of Justice officials who “performed disgracefully and unconstitutionally” in what he characterized as a “disgraceful period” in the history of the agencies.

He noted Friday that the FISA surveillance requests behind the House Intelligence Committee memo may be declassified “eventually.”

In the process, diGenova laid out a damning summation of the released memo.

Appearing on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” he said that the Department of Justice and FBI conspired with the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to not only exonerate the candidate, but to frame President Donald Trump for collusion.

“What’s interesting about this,” the former prosecutor said, “the Democrats were complaining the release of this four-page memo would compromise sources and methods, would destroy the ability of the American intelligence community to collect intelligence.

“All of that is obviously nonsensical when you look at the memorandum,” he added.

He then got down to the nitty-gritty of what the memo exposed.

“What is clear now as a result of memorandum is that huge amounts of underlying intelligence have to be declassified and have to be shown to the American people so they can understand,” diGenova said, “that the FBI and the DOJ basically conspired with the Democratic Party, the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign to exonerate her of violations of the Espionage Act and, in the course of trying to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president, to frame him for a nonexistent crime of collusion.”

It seems the only remaining question is who’s going to jail?

And given diGenova’s remarks last week that former FBI director James Comey was “a dirty cop” who “dirtied up everybody else around him,” it’s possible that a starting point may have already been determined.

Fellow panelist Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, posed a potentially earth-shattering question when he tied the memo to Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian collusion in the 2016 election.

“There is no Russia collusion story without the dossier,” he said. “And we now know and have confirmed six ways to Sunday there was nothing behind it so, therefore, why is there a special counsel investigation?”
