Nancy Pelosi should try lightening up.
On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders suggested the House Minority Leader should “smile a lot more often” and, along with other congressional Democrats, put differences aside to work with President Trump for America.

Sanders’ remark referred to the stone-faced expression on Pelosi’s face throughout the majority of the president’s first State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

CNN’s Chris Cuomo said he’d “never seen Nancy Pelosi’s face look like that during a State of the Union.”
CNN polled the audience on Trump’s State of the Union and soon came to regret it
Responding to a question by Cuomo about how President Trump can unify Congress, Sanders asserted:
“I think doing exactly what he did last night. … I think Nancy Pelosi looks like that all the time. I think she should smile a lot more often. I think the country would be better for it.
“She seems to kind of embody the bitterness that belongs in the Democrat party right now. I think last night was a good step forward. Hopefully they can let go of some of that.”

The Press Secretary also argued Democrats should forsake partisanship to work alongside the president and Republicans.
“They have to make a big decision. They need to decide, Chris: do they love America more than they hate this president? And are they willing to put some of those differences aside, come together, and do what’s right for this country?”
Pelosi wasn’t the only member of her party to have a stern face during the State of the Union.
The Democratic members of the congressional Black Caucus refused to applaud when the president touted historically low unemployment among African Americans.

Based on the lack of applause, the Democratic Black Caucus doesn’t like African Americans being employed. After all, if they’re employed, they aren’t dependent on the Democrat Plantation & will be truly independent & free.DEMs are the party of slavery. pic.twitter.com/JOYHh2urhy

Democrats were morose as President Trump offered bipartisan solutions to America’s challenges, including a path to citizenship for 1.8 million illegal aliens and a nation-wide infrastructure plan.
Among those spotted with a less-than-enthusiastic demeanor were Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
President Trump’s 4-word retort to Democrats who brought DREAMers to SOTU wins best line of night

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA).

And Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

It’s telling that Democrats look broken-hearted upon hearing that life for Americans is improving.
