Hollywood liberals continue to demonstrate how out-of-touch they are with the American mainstream.
A host of celebrities gathered at Manhattan’s Town Hall Theater Monday night to hold their self-titled “People’s State of the Union,” a collection of millionaire elites that protested the Tuesday night State of the Union address by the nation’s duly elected president.
The event was emceed by actor Mark Ruffalo, who declared:
“We’re going to set our sights to continue that work in the next year, and strengthen our bonds and commitments to each other, for long after the Trump era comes to its rightful end. We ain’t stopping with Trump, okay?”

One of the most notable speakers at the event was documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, who called for the removal of President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Republicans in Congress.

“Removing him, and Pence, and the whole disgusting lot of them… still won’t be enough. We must remove and replace the system and the culture that gave us Trump in the first place,” Moore said to an emotional crowd.
Many of the night’s speakers expressed optimism that Democrats will retake power in the 2018 midterms.
Filmmaker and Women’s March Artistic Director Paola Mendoza predicted a “brown tsunami” of Latinos voting Democrat.

Speaking of “Vladimir Putin, and Donald Trump, and his enablers in the GOP Congress,” “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon said:
“[They] may think that our belief in true participatory democracy is waning. That we are complacent, that we are distracted, that we are just too beaten down from this horror show year we’ve had… But we are here to prove them wrong!”

Others celebrities present included Amy Schumer, Patricia Arquette, Gina Gershon, and left-wing billionaire donor Tom Steyer, who is funding ads calling for President Trump’s impeachment that will air during the State of the Union address.
