Eagles player to skip White House visit reserved for Super Bowl winners if his team wins

It’s all Trump, all the time. Even when it comes to the Super Bowl.

Philadelphia Eagles player Chris Long is already planning to skip the traditional White House visit reserved for Super Bowl winners, even before he takes the field against the New England Patriots.

“No, I’m not going to the White House, are you kidding me?” Long declared in an interview on Barstool Sports’ podcast “Pardon My Take.”

Long played for New England last year and was one of several players who didn’t visit  the Trump White House after the team won the 2017 Super Bowl, according to The Hill.

“My son grows up, and I believe the legacy of our president is going to be what it is, I don’t want him to say, ‘Hey dad, why’d you go [to the White House] when you knew the right thing was to not go?'” he said of that decision.

The son of NFL Hall of Famer Howie Long, the younger Long has a history of supporting social justice causes, earning the praise of former President Barack Obama when he donated his salary to equality programs in Charlottesville, Va., after the violent white nationalist rally there last summer.

Long has also expressed support for former NFL player and radical leftist Colin Kapernick, who initiated the showing of disrespect for the national anthem.

“I support Colin’s right to protest, and what he’s protesting,” Long once tweeted.

With Long already deciding what he will or will not do after winning the Super Bowl, is the defensive end looking past Sunday’s opponent?

New England Patriots player Tom Brady is arguably the greatest quarterback to ever play the game and the LAST thing you would want to do is give the record four-time Super Bowl MVP added incentive.

Word to the wise Mr. Social Justice.
