Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro offered a unique take on the Democratic Party’s move to shut down the federal government, saying that is was a simple ploy to step on the one year anniversary of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
“One year ago, [Trump] promised he would prioritize the American people,” Pirro explained, “and [Democrats] promised they would obstruct and resist everything he did.”
She added that “both have been true to their word.”
“To show you how mean-spirited the Democrats are,” Pirro said, “they’re shutting the government down over a bill that has nothing in it they oppose — obstruction is their mission. Pure and simple.”
Pirro said Democrats are effectively holding the nation hostage for the benefit of foreign nationals in the U.S. illegally, who they fondly call “Dreamers,” before she exposed their real motivation.
“Make no mistake, this is about stepping on President Trump’s one year anniversary and his opportunity to highlight to America his accomplishments,” she insisted.
“C’mom folks, the Democrats are gaming you!”
“If I were a betting person,” she said confidently, “I would predict that this shutdown will end by the beginning of the week.”
Piro went on to detail some of Trump’s accomplishments “vindictive” Democrats don’t want the American people being reminded of.
