MSNBC Joy Reid epitomizes the old adage that when you walk around with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Targeting Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, whose ratings she can only dream of, the race-baiting Reid took exception to his stance on immigration amid the federal government shutdown.
As expected, Carlson opposes the Democratic Party holding the nation hostage on behalf of foreign nationals in the U.S. illegally, which they fondly refer to as DREAMers, and favors merit-based immigration.

This reasonable position being an attack on immigrants, according to MSNBC.
But Reid took things further, after liberal panelist Jennifer Mendelsohn shared some research she had done on Carlson — yes, a rival network’s digging dirt on its competition.
Pointing to Carlson’s great-great-grandfather’s memoirs that detailed his life in Europe, Mendelsohn noted how this was the catalyst that prompted him to come to America.
“He talked about how the prospects for him in his native Switzerland were bleak. He was seized with a violent desire to get out and that’s why he came to the U.S. in 1860,” she said. “People in genealogical glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”
Reid seized on the “glass house” remark to liken Carlson to a white nationalist, couching her accusation carefully so she can later claim that it wasn’t her who said it, but others.
“Absolutely,” she said. “And Tucker’s been one of the more aggressive at putting forward what a lot of people have seen as a pretty blatantly white nationalist view of what immigration should be like.”
