Liberals want to set the rules, but they aren’t always that keen on playing by them.
It’s a fact that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders has certainly noticed over the past several months, so when CNN’s Chris Cuomo referred to her Deputy Press Secretary, Raj Shah, as “Raj whatever his name is,” you can be sure she was quick to hoist him by his own petard.
Cuomo made his faux pas Monday morning towards the beginning of his show, “New Day,” during a discussion about, what else, President Trump’s alleged characterization of Carnival’s top cruise destinations as “sh*tholes.” Shah, apparently, hadn’t denied that the president made the remark.
“[W]e went to the White House when it happened,” said the CNN anchor. “Raj whatever his name is didn’t back off the words.”
Shah himself good naturedly acknowledged Cuomo’s misstatement with a correction and a link to the story on Daily Caller. Good naturedly, because if it had been a liberal and the tables had been turned, you can bet that said liberal would be calling for the offender’s job, or worse.

Then it was Sanders’ turn, and she didn’t disappoint, referencing a past CNN faux pas when they posted the wrong picture of Shah followed by the kicker – the hashtag #ThisIsCNN.
Last month @CNN put up the wrong picture for WH Principal Deputy Press Secretary @RajShah45 & now they refer to him on air as "Raj whatever his name is." #ThisIsCNN https://t.co/PnkYDqoCpP

Cuomo is developing something of a bad habit on this. Mediaite’s Joe DePaolo writes:
Although the “whatever his name is” line appears to have been a one-time incident, Cuomo has neglected to mention Shah’s last name on several other occasions. At 8:48 a.m. ET on Monday, Cuomo referred to Shah simply as Raj. And he did the same thing, according to the media monitoring service TVEyes, during an interview with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski this past Friday.
Judging by the Twitter reaction to Sanders’ tweet, plenty of others noticed the hypocrisy as well:

Finally, to his credit, Cuomo himself apologized for his “mistake,” tweeting that it wouldn’t happen again and Shah was welcome on his show anytime.
Sorry for the mistake, Raj. Won’t happen again. Please know that you are welcome to come on the show anytime. https://t.co/kw669MfP0a
