Chris Brown is in trouble with the law again. Is anyone surprised?
The artist’s Los Angeles home was the target of a raid by California wildlife agents that resulted in the seizure of his pet capuchin monkey, the Associated Press reported.
Agents served a search warrant at Brown’s home on January 2. Capt. Patrick Foy said on Friday that the star didn’t have a permit for the monkey, named Fiji.
The wildlife department became aware of the pet after Brown posted a video of his three-year-old daughter playing with Fiji on his Instagram account last month.
A number of people called to report Brown’s possession of the monkey.
Foy said Brown wasn’t at home when agents arrived, but that the singer was cooperative and instructed his employees to hand over Fiji, who was transferred to an undisclosed facility.

The incident could bring the celebrity a misdemeanor charge and potential six-month jail sentence.
Brown was famously arrested in 2009 for hitting his then-girlfriend, recording artist Rihanna. He was convicted of felony assault and sentenced to five years of probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, and six months of community service.

In 2013, he was again arrested for felony assault–this time in Washington, D.C. In a 2016 incident, Brown was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
““I ain’t did s**t, I ain’t gonna do s**t, and it’s always going to be f**k the police,” he said at the time. “Black lives matter.”

Chris Brown continually winds up on the wrong side of the law and yet manages to walk free. So much for “systemic racism.”
