Bruce Ohr, the Justice Department official famously demoted last month because of his links to the infamous Trump dossier, has reportedly left his second high level position in as many months.
According to a Daily Caller report, Ohr held two positions at the Department of Justice in early December – director of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and associate deputy attorney general.
However, Ohr lost his post as associate deputy attorney general last month after news came to light of his 2016 meetings with both Christopher Steele, the dossier author, and Glen Simpson, the founder of Fusion GPS, the firm that commissioned the document.

And now, Fox News reported on Monday that Ohr is out as director of OCDETF, but the Justice Department didn’t make clear whether the separation was voluntary or involuntary.

In his job as deputy attorney general, Ohr’s office was close to that of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the man who happens to be overseeing Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his ever-expanding Russia investigation.
Considering the fact that the infamous “Trump dossier” was financed by the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign to smear then-candidate Trump and was potentially even used as “evidence” for the Obama Administration to spy on his campaign, the removal of officials with obvious conflicts of interest is a positive development for Trump supporters.
On January 17, Ohr is scheduled to meet with the House Intelligence Committee and the very capable questioning of Rep. Devin Nunes thanks to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who agreed to make him and other FBI and Department of Justice officials available for interviews.
