When a North Wales police team used its Twitter account to post a picture of breakfast one December morning, it apparently forgot about the fact that almost anything can be considered controversial in today’s politically charged society.
Even breakfast.
The photo was innocuous enough, just a breakfast spread that would put a Shoney’s buffet to shame – two plates of eggs and sausage, bacon, toast, baked beans, and cooked mushrooms on a round table.
“Not bad eh….not one egg broken….. let the team meeting begin!” read the caption.

The team then followed up that picture with one of members – gasp – actually eating all that juicy protein.

Although the original tweet didn’t exactly go viral, it did anger one “Diana,” who expressed her disapproval in a tweet that’s since been deleted.
“Speaking as a tax payer I’d prefer them to be less selective when answering questions and perhaps not post breakfast pics that offend vegetarian/vegan followers – pretty thoughtless considering the job title they have,” Diana wrote from her high horse.
To which RuralCrimeTeam responded:
