At ESPN, apparently anything goes as long as the vitriol is directed at President Trump.
After host Katie Nolan called the president a “f**king stupid person” during a Wednesday appearance on Viceland’s “Desus & Mero” talk show, the network reportedly will NOT suspend her, according to TMZ Sports.
“We have looked into the totality of Nolan’s comments, they were inappropriate and we have addressed it with her,” a network representative told TMZ Sports.
During a discussion about white supremacists and the hand gestures supposedly associated with them, Nolan remarks (around the 13-minute mark) that President Trump uses the thumbs-up emoji because he’s “stupid.” Another offensive word she used to describe the president was bleeped out.
This isn’t the first time ESPN has faced controversy with uber-liberal hosts letting their emotions run away with them on air. In October the network suspended SC-6 host Jemele Hill for two weeks for calling for fans to boycott Dallas Cowboys advertisers.
However, instead of a suspension Nolan was reportedly given a “stern warning,” although some wonder what that even means…
With that being said Katie Nolan won’t be suspended, she was given a “stern warning”. A couple of people inside of ESPN have sent me rolling eye emojis texts to how stern it was.

Needless to say, the network is already receiving backlash from fans.
Apparently no one gave @katienolan the note that no one gives a shit about sports reporter's terrible political opinions.

Another ESPN hack, Katie Nolan, bashed President Trump. Fortunately nobody has ever heard of @katienolan and now she can enjoy her suspension from liberal network @espn #FridayFeeling https://t.co/KF8CQCW9Qa
