If anyone slightly to the right-of-center had hoped to enjoy an escape from politics and severe Hollywood anti-Trump bias by watching Sunday’s 75th annual Golden Globe Awards, it looks like they can find something else to do with their time.

Because Hollywood never learns.
Liberal comedian Seth Meyers, the man who literally flipped off half of America in October when he put up his middle finger and mock-rapped, “My name is Seth and I’m here to say: If you like Trump, then go away,” is set to host the awards, and early signs indicate that it won’t be all that different from his politically charged show “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
During an interview with People, the 44-year-old Meyers said his monologue would include material about the ongoing #MeToo movement and the scandals circulating within Hollywood, but will also include plenty of Trump fodder, because apparently that’s what America, or half of it anyway, wants.
“With the monologue, as far as talking about anything in the news right now, it seems like this year more than ever Hollywood has its own internal politics that obviously deserve to be talked about,” said Meyers. “Going into it our focus is far more on the worlds that make these films and less on anything that’s happening in Washington.”
As far as what Meyers says about Trump?
“He holds the keys to us not talking about him, which would to be to just behave differently,” said the late night host. “But while he continues on this path, we’ll continue on ours.”
In other words, expect more liberal hysterics along the lines of last year’s Meryl Streep fiasco.
Despite an ongoing disagreement over how any #MeToo solidarity should be displayed, at least 30 female actresses plan to wear black dresses to protest sexual abuse in Hollywood, according to E! News.
