They say money can’t buy class.
Jacqueline Kent Cooke, the millionaire socialite daughter of the late former owner of the Washington Redskins, was arrested for striking a stranger in the head with a $300 glass purse–after allegedly insulting him and his family with antisemitic slurs.
Unfortunately for her, the incident was caught on video and now she could be facing some serious jail time.
The 29-year-old was charged with assault on Wednesday following the altercation took place on New Year’s Eve, New York Daily News reports. Cooke and her boyfriend were walking out of the high-class New York City restaurant Caravaggio when she ran into lawyer Matthew Haberkorn, 52.
Haberkorn claimed Cooke began hurling insults at his 77-year-old mother. “Hurry up, Jew!” he allegedly overheard her say.
“What did you say?” asked Haberkorn’s wife, Linda Thomas.
“Hurry up, Jew, I got places to be!” the socialite replied. Her boyfriend reportedly added offensive remarks of his own, telling Haberkorn’s daughters, “Happy bat mitzvah, girls.”
The group took the confrontation outside to the sidewalk. “I walked up to her and asked her why she said that,” Haberkorn told the Daily News. “She took her purse, which was a mirrored glass purse, and smashed me with it.”
At that point, one of Haberkorn’s daughter began filming the spat. In the video footage, Cooke was seen rolling on the sidewalk and struggling to stand up.
Cook was heard saying, “You called me a f***ing bitch, you called me a c**t.”
Haberkorn replied, “You called me a f***ing Jew.”
Cooke’s boyfriend grabbed the lawyer, and then Cooke fell while trying to take another swing at him.
“You’re throwing a woman on the floor,” Cooke’s boyfriend accused. “I didn’t f***ing touch her,” Haberkorn responded.
The rowdy couple eventually fled, but as they walked away Cooke was heard uttering the words “‘self-defense” and “you harassed me.”
A reporter for the Daily News later visited Cooke at her apartment to get a statement, but the millionaire claimed “nothing happened on New Year’s Eve. I was here in my apartment.”
The reporter claimed Cooke was wearing a finger splint, and photos from the scene show Haberkorn with a bloody head.

Cooke appeared defiant when she showed in a Manhattan criminal court on Thursday, and is facing up to seven years in prison if fully convicted, the Daily Mail reported.
