Howard Dean crushes the New York Times with a single tweet… and liberals still can’t believe it

Howard Dean, who said Thursday older members of the Democratic Party need “to get the hell out of the way and have somebody who is 50 running the country,” left liberal mouths’ equally ajar when he crushed The New York Times in a single tweet.

Responding to Peter Baker, the chief White House correspondent for The Times, who was engaged in a discussion about an interview President Donald Trump did with the newspaper this week, Dean blasted The Times’ 2016 election coverage as “awful.”

“Peter, I have a lot of respect for your integrity and your talent,” Dean tweeted. “But the 2016 NYT election coverage was a awful: a collective Judy Miller.”

Baker had come to the defense of Washington correspondent Michael S. Schmidt, who did the interview, against claims that favorable treatment of Trump was the reason he scored the assignment.

Schmidt was accused of, egad, being “fair to Trump” by Neera Tanden, president of the George Soros-backed left-wing think tank Center for American Progress.

But it was Dean’s slap down of “The Gray Lady” that had social media abuzz, from both sides of the aisle.
