There’s only so much crazy even the most liberal universities will put up with.
Far-left professor George Ciccariello, whose controversial remarks include claiming “Trumpism” was responsible for October’s mass shooting in Las Vegas, has resigned from Drexel University.

Ciccariello posted a statement regarding his resignation to his social media accounts. He attributed his decision to “right-wing, white supremacist media outlets and internet mobs” that allegedly harassed him for nearly a year.
“Staying at Drexel in the eye of this storm has become detrimental to my own writing, speaking and organizing,” he wrote.

“We are at war,” Ciccariello said, “and academia is a crucial front in that war. This is why the Right is targeting campuses with thinly veiled provocations disguised as free speech. My case and many others show just how cynical such appeals are, and how little the Right cares about academic freedom”
The left-wing professor also claimed “the forces of resurgent white supremacy have tasted blood and are howling for more.”
Drexel University dissociated itself from Ciccariello’s views after he alleged Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock was motivated by a “narrative of white victimization.”
White people and men are told that they are entitled to everything. This is what happens when they don’t get what they want.

The narrative of white victimization has been gradually built over the past 40 years.

It is the spinal column of Trumpism, and most extreme form is the white genocide myth.

Yesterday was a morbid symptom of what happens when those who believe they deserve to own the world also think it is being stolen from them.

In March, Ciccariello stirred controversy by saying he tried “not to vomit” when he saw a man on a plane give his first class seat to an armed service member.

On Christmas Eve 2016, he tweeted “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide.”
The slew of statements prompted the university to rebuke Ciccariello for his “extremely damaging conduct.”
Apparently, Ciccariello never learned not to go “full social justice warrior”–it can cost you your career.
