In politics, it’s not always clear who to believe.
Singer Joy Villa, known for her Trump-themed music and dresses, faced backlash for a video that showed her slapping a man’s rear–after she accused former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski of doing the same to her.
Villa, who rose to prominence upon wearing a “Made America Great Again” dress to the 2017 Grammy Awards, filed a police complaint against Lewandoski for allegedly slapping her bottom without her consent during a November 2016 at the Trump hotel in Washington, D.C.
George Harris, who owns a Tequila Brand, told the Daily Mail he did not consent to a slap on the rear from Villa during September’s Conservative Leadership Conference–an incident captured on video.

“I met Ms. Villa at the Conservative Leadership Conference at the sponsorship dinner, as I recall 40+ people attended the event,” Harris said. “And as I recall, I was introduced to her at the beginning of the event, and 40 minutes later she was slapping me on the rear-end.”
He claimed the slap was not consensual.
“Contrary to her statements in the press, the slap was not consensual, as the tape shows I had no idea I was going to be hit and I was clear in my response I said, ‘Take is easy chica, behave,’ which is clearly on the tape. I brushed off the antics and enjoyed the balance of the evening.
“‘I am concerned with Ms. Villa’s statements in the press that somehow the event was a consensual among friends. I don’t know Ms. Villa, I met her for a total of an hour and a half, I did find her charming and articulate during our interaction.”
Harris went on to call Villa “an opportunist, who plays loose with the truth.”
In the video clip, Villa was heard laughing when a friend bragged Republicans aren’t “P.C.” The singer then remarked that she isn’t “afraid to say ‘grab them by the p***y.'”
Villa, who is exploring a congressional bid from Florida, questioned whether her friend was live-streaming the recording, but then brushed it off. “‘I don’t care … I’m not too drunk,” she said.
The artist responded to the video on a Friday morning appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
When GMA asked Joy Villa if she would be okay with just an apology- she hesitates and says -” It’s a hard situation because this was a crime that was committed against me.”

“Well, for one thing, he didn’t say stop or no,” she said of Harris. “And when he said ‘take it easy,’ I was being stupid. It was at a party in Las Vegas and I did stop.”
Villa continued:
“And if I offended George, you know, I totally apologize and I made it clear I reached out to his best friend and talked it over and said, listen, if this offended you, I’m sorry. I own up to it.”
In the same interview, Villa described her police complaint against Lewandowski as “a hard situation because this was a crime that was committed against me.”
Many Twitter users blasted Villa, accusing her of hypocrisy, including top Trump aide Katrina Pierson who called the video of Villa “disturbing.” Pierson also defended Lewandowski and said she had never seem him do what “she just did to anyone that he’s close to, more or less a total stranger.”

You know, women like that and others we’ve seen come out really do an enormous disservice to the women who are true victims. These women are going to make it much harder to prosecute real cases, as people are going to demand hard evidence which many times victims don’t have.

Sounds like ol’ Joy lives by a double standard. This was the final convincing I needed to officially divest myself of any tendency of backing her. Conservatives should stay away from people like her.
