U2 frontman Bono had to brace for the backlash from anti-reality social justice rebels without a [real] cause.
Bono offended the hypersensitive left when he told Rolling Stone magazine that men may dominate the music industry, but music itself has become “very girly.”
“I think music has gotten very girly,” the iconic rocker said. “And there are some good things about that, but hip-hop is the only place for young male anger at the moment – and that’s not good.”
And with that comment, feminists, the gender-confused crowd and, hell, even Black Lives Matter disciples, who pray at the alter of Beyoncé, took offense.
Without an avenue to release “young male anger,” Bono fears this could spell the end for rock music.
“When I was 16, I had a lot of anger in me,” he said. “You need to find a place for it and for guitars, whether it is with a drum machine – I don’t care. The moment something becomes preserved, it is f*cking over. You might as well put it in formaldehyde.
“In the end, what is rock & roll? Rage is at the heart of it. Some great rock & roll tends to have that, which is why the Who were such a great band. Or Pearl Jam.”
This is not the first time Bono, who is well known for his activism against poverty and AIDS relief on the African continent, has said something the left didn’t like.
In a 2013 speech at Georgetown University’s Global Social Enterprise Event, the singer said capitalism takes more people out of poverty than government assistance.

More recently, Bono made the mistake of paying respect to Vice President Mike Pence earlier this year, which had progressive heads exploding.
